bought a used set and after straightening my boards I am ready to install, BUT was wondering if I needed to trim the front plastic?
does the tunnel side line up with the rivets or below?
and exactly how the colored insert and foam is to be placed?

I have the instruction in the garage I think, I could e-mail them to you if you would like?
it is important to keep the slot in the tread for the rear susp. bolt lined up so you can get a socket on the bolt head in the future.
did you get the deep reach allen wrench with the treads? its used to attach the treads to the tunnel.

You will not have to cut any plastic on your viper. The treads just seat perfect in the spot. Take your time and line them up. I bought a extra long clamp to make sure they stayed put when I put them in place. Clamp drill, alen bolt and repeat across. Then drill and rivet going across. Make sure you have all the parts before you install. I also taped the blue insert to the underpart of the tread. This helped them from shifting during istallation. The treads really grip great.

does the tunnel side coverup some rivets?
I think I should have instructions and or good pictures first
they dont look like they will fit from the front foot well side panel plastic and still center around the rear suspension bolt?

I will try to take some pictures this week. I don't remember them covering any rivets? They run straight. I lined mine up from one of the big holes in the footwell and it was centered around the tunnel skid bolt. Everything was flush just below the rivets. It starts right at the plastic pannel. They are off a viper? I heard the sx and viper were the same. Send a email to Mr Rox and ROX treads and he will help you out with a pro instal.

Thanks guys got them on, talked to someone at Rox ( GREAT GUY to talk to )
told him that I had to buy used and he checked, the front tonque area is a little different on his cad drawings so I was right I had to trim @ 3/8" off the area that goes on the roll edge right by the foot wheel . They look GOOD
