ok new to me 2001 srx 700 triple PV. what brand or type of oil goes in the crankcase. sae 80 i think i read. just any kind or something special or what you guys recommend. also what kind of oil should i be using for the injection oil. amsoil. factory stuff? fill me in on the detaisl. thanks Jim

There is no crankcase on a srx, but there is a chain case, 80 wgt synthetic is ok. I'd run any full synthetic 2 stroke oil that you can find. Maxdlx

ok yea i made a mistake thats what i ment. so im looking at amsoil.INTERCEPTOR™ High Performance Synthetic 2-Cycle Oil (AIT) and Series 2000 Synthetic Chaincase Lubricant (TCC)
AMSOIL Series 2000 Chaincase Oil provides superior protection and performance for enclosed chains. Ideal for snowmobiles

is this good or should i use yamaha stuff? Thanks Jim

oil

schaffer oil.I used to run amsoil until I switched this I run it in my high rpm race motors and my trail motors and it exceeds amsoil that's all I'm going to say.

Run the amsoil,it's great stuff easy to get..

i got two cases of interceptor sitting in my garage.

Do a search on yamalube.
You will see VAST DIFFERENT OPINIONS on it. Some will swear by it and others will get hot about people using YAMALUBE.
This is the first yr I'll be running amsoil interceptor. I just did a top end build and my pistons were WAY under spec and ALL I ever ran was YAMALUBE! Only full synthetics now for me!
Its your motor, use what you like.
Just my 2 cents,
mul
