What would you guys think about putting together a list of things every SRX owner "Should" look for or do to their sled? My thought is there are a lot of posts that come from new SRX owners asking about 1 or 2 things...then later ask about another 1 or 2.. I thought it might be easier if we put together a list of the most typical items to check, replace, update... when purchasing a new SRX. Basically a checklist for new owners. If you think it would be helpful, I will put together a list from the posts and we can all agree on it. Maybe then it could get added to the tech pages. Some examples are:
W arm Gusseting
Wiring harness rub through
Possible addition of Viper shocks. (It would be nice to document what is needed for each year.)
Cleaning power valves
Possibly even have different sections.. Items to check, Upgrades, and preventative maintanance. We could use links to the other docs that are already created.
Let me know what you guys think.

As far as maintenance I would do what has been mentioned along with;
-good carb cleaning and adjustment
-clutch alignment (center to center and offset)
-suspension check (wheels, bearings, hyfax, track, and track tension)
-check chain tension
-check all fluids
-grease everything
As far as add on's in addition to what has been mentioned;
-good clutch set up
-studs and/or different track
-oversized wheels
-hyfax saver wheels
Gas it up and pull the trigger!!

Those are all good. BETHEVIPER - Those are excellent write-ups. How about information on long traveling the different years of SRX's. Let's assume Viper shocks since they are easiest to come by. I have done my 99 so I can come up with what is needed for that. 00 and up I may need help. I can search old posts too as I know this has been gone over a lot. I'll start putting something together and see what you guys think. Thanks for the input.

Here's a few more I have:
Typical TORS problem
Wiring in a heated shield
Gearing – Depending on weight of rider
Setting Up suspension - Link to tech pages
Polishing Pipes – Mothers, etc.
Carb Heaters – When to use - Mention that it is a bear to change after running.
Speedo Bearing and socket needed to remove set screw
more to come.. Again once this list is semi-complete I'll get all of this organized and detailed.
