Thats a very good deal. In fact, that seems unbelievable to be able to get it at that price. I was buying 10 barrels at a time last year and paid more per gallon than that even.
Klotz has has a couple of healthy price increases the last couple of years. I could believe that price about 2-3 years ago, but not right now.
Klotz changed their purchasing criteria last year where if you buy 2 barrels, they will ship it free freight. Otherwise, on a single barrel, there is freight charge. With that factored in, typically I can sell and ship 14 cases (56 gallons / 4 per case) cheaper than to sell you a barrel. Obviously there are different shipping factors that may come into play, like shipping to Canada, etc that change pricing. Most people that buy a barrel are dividing it up between 3-6 guys anyways and the gallon cases are easier to deal with.
This year, for 1 to 55 gallons I can sell for 26.00 per gallon plus the cost of shipping. I charge you what ever it costs to ship it to you from me in MN, so to Chicago is a little cheaper than to Vermont or Washington. But it still ranges between 30-34 a gallon with shipping to your door.
On 14 cases or 56 gallons, I can get a better deal on the shipping because of the weight and that reduces the cost of shipping, making it cheaper per gallon.
I am just in it to sell a premium oil at a good price to fellow sledders...

I just bought a sled from a guy in New York a few days ago...He was telling me about buying the 55 and using it on his 4 sleds!!! I was telling him that I can get cases of gallons (4) for 100.00 BUT I have to go pick them up myself!!!They aren't really that far from Chicago so i could make a day trip out of it!!! He told me that HE could get me a 55 for 1000.00 thats why I was wondering if there were any guys around here in Chicago that had a 55 that they were selling gallons to people!!! YAMALUBE is 23.99 a gallon around here in Chicago and if I could sell KLOTZ for the same price as the YAMAHA dealer sells YAMALUBE,,,, I COULD START A REVOLUTION on my own!!!! ITS NOT ABOUT making the MONEY,,,, Its about helping fellow snowmobilers STAY AWAY from YAMALUBE!!!! I can't (for the LIFE of me) understand WHY people swear by YAMALUBE?????????? Gary Oles nosboy
Hey KLOTZ guy,, I PM'd you
