I am thinking about new skis for my srx. Was thinking about simmons or c&a and looking for input. If c&a which ones work best? Have also heard the simmons carbide needs to be shimmed if I go that route. Thanks!

I would definatly go with the usi spx they are the fastest and IMO the nicest skis.

I personnally like the usi spx also but unfortunately nobody had them in stock. Maybe you would have better luck. My second choice was the c&a razors.

use the rx1 skis, they work well too... and you can probally pick them up alot cheaper from someone who is taking them off...

I had a set of simmons on my SRX then got a new pair of SLYDOG skis and will never go back to anything else if you mainly trail ride that is.

For you guys that have the simmons or slydog skis do you have to do any suspension adj to get them to work. I've heard on the simmons some have had to crank on suspension quite a bit to get them where they want (on revs anyway). I live in no snow country and don't have a lot of time to test. Thanks .

I have USI PX301's and love em. No darting and work well off trail in powder. Only issue is getting good carbides. Studboy shapers are aboot all you can find and they suck IMO. Trying Bergstroms this year. Well , if we have a year!!
I highly recommend the skiis. Real quality pieces.

Powder Pros for me, shimmed with 10" of 60 degree carbide. They work great in everything except crusty spring snow. Super agressive.

I'm with Blueby. Slydog powder hound's on my long traveled, paddle tracked 01 SRX. Love em.

So if I bought a pair to replace my stock srx skis it would actually help in darting and agresssiveness? I figured plastic is plastic and its just a nicer look.

plastic skis
When I put the c&a skis on my srx700 it felt like a different sled. They are 100% better the the stock skis. They do float better than stock skis but they still seem to submarine a bit in the deep snow. I bought a set of apex mountain skis this year. They look very aggressive. (about $275. complete)
I have not had a chance to try them yet because there is no F@#$%G snow. Any of the good name aftermarket skis will be better than the stockers.
