What do you figure a stock 2003 Viper will do top end on GPS?
I'm sure it'll be a little more than my Phazer! ;) I just don't really have an idea.
I'm figuring it'll break 100 no?

My 04 did 105 on the speedo and there was more there, but I had to slow down for a corner. On a good stretch I think it will hit 115, But thats on the speedo. GPS could be different.

I have seen 116 MPH on my speed o, (03 Viper) and backed off because that was plenty fast enough on a trail while running next to my budddies 700 XCSP. Still felt I had a little bit left. -Ed

believe it or not but last year when i put the slp's on my viper, didn't clutch it yet just jetted...it said 126-127 on the speedo and gps said 109 mph..did it several times on long stretches, lots of track spin though..my buddies 98 sx 700 read 98 on gps, 02 xc 600 read 92 gps..i have yet to try the gps this year with clutching and new rings new studs

Mine did 113mph on the dreamometer lastyear in almost stock form (carbon tech reeds and spacers + 144 studs)...I'm curious on the conversion to GPS speeds...if Eric Michael said 127 on the speedo and 109GPS..thats a 18mph difference...I need 5 more MPH to clear 100mph I guess...

my gps is 9 to 11 miles slower once you get over 80 mph -the speedo's in boats are about as bad as you get - I had one that read 76 mph and the gps said 63. I unhooked it and am looking for a big clock to put in the hole.

I hear ya! Our 17 foot Doral with a 90 Merc registers 47-48 mph top speed, but on the GPS we got 43 mph.
I can't wait to stretch out the legs on this Viper. I'd never do it on a trail, but on the wide open lake with a few inches of snow... ohh baby do I love that speed! I do these lake runs on a small lake without pressure crack ridges etc. I'm just getting worked up thinking about those speed runs!

Akrievins..yer gunna love yer Vipe...I came from a 96 Vmax Xt ...and well...I loved that machine but my first ride on my Viper had me grinning from ear to ear...Can't
describe it...Looove the sound...it still brings a tear to my eye...
But as for speeds...I know this machine has more to offer without adding Pipes yet...hoping this year I can up the ante a lil more...that is if we get some snow...

my brother has a 2002 viper that is trail clutched with stock track. set up like this he has seen 103 mph on gps.

have to see what it will do now that he has 136" it with a ripsaw.

Nice...Maim...I just picked up a Torque limitor and a Dalton helix, Green sec etc...was told to look into some 8DN-20 weights and it should haul nice...103mph would be perfect...I don't expect to walk over my buddies ZR 900's on the lakes...but corner to corner, I just wanna have em lookin over their shoulder is all...hehehehe...A 136" would be sweeet...
