My father has a 2001 SRX 700 and installed F-vorce III's tonight. After he fired it off the sled ran at an higher idle. No power when you hit the throttle just an air bog. I took them back off because the name plates seemed to be hitting the coil bracket. After spinning them around and installing them again it ran better but still high idle ( turning idle screw doesnt help) but it will idle when a little choke is added and when you hit the throttle it has power. This tells me its lean on the idle side. I know its not and air leak at this point and I was wondering if anyone has seen this. I also wonder if a richer pilot jet is needed. I guess I could put thestock reeds back in and see if its the reeds or not. Everything else looks fine.
BTW where are the air screws on the carbs??
Thanks.
Thanks.

Was there Any problams Before the Reeds were installed? I Don't think Reeds Calls for Jetting changes. Put in and go.
Maybe the Airbox is on wrong??

Did you check installation instructions to see if it needs different pilot jetting? (Normally no..)
Must be air leak ?

I had the same problem when I installed V Force 3's on my 04 Viper. Did you use the spacers?? eigther way spacers or no spacers you will probably need to adjust your fuel screws out to give it more fuel on low end that should eliminate the air bog if you do not have any leaks check that first by spraying carb cleaner arount the intake boots.jetboy said:My father has a 2001 SRX 700 and installed F-vorce III's tonight. Did you check to see if the throttle cable is properly seated at all connections. Sounds as simple as tension on the cable since the idle adjust is not doing anything.
No air leaks. Where are the air screws? The throttle cable is good to.

No air screws
Carbs on the Viper don't have air screws. They have fuel screws. Back the screws out for more fuel or in to become leaner.
