now that I have the clutch set up, VForce 3 reeds, and engine torque limiter installed everything else is stock what can I do to gain some top end?? I have plenty of pull and would like to gain some top end would it be best to go one tooth smaller on the top sprocket of 1 tooth smaller on the lower sprocket?? If I do this will I need a shorter chain??

If you want to gain some top speed and you have the stock single pipe gear down 1 tooth on top to a 21 because with tock hp you won't be able to achieve full shift out with the stock gearing. You can use the same chain. What are your engine rpm's at wide open throttle because alot of stock viper had an over rev which can a signifagent loss in top end performance.

I won't know what the WOT RPM's are until we get snow again. I don't believe I have an over rev problem though.pro116 said:If you want to gain some top speed and you have the stock single pipe gear down 1 tooth on top to a 21 because with tock hp you won't be able to achieve full shift out with the stock gearing. You can use the same chain. What are your engine rpm's at wide open throttle because alot of stock viper had an over rev which can a signifagent loss in top end performance.
