just extended my '02 Viper Er to 136" ripsaw. Now going to try and get the clutches tuned in. I do not know much about clutching so I was looking for some starting points and suggestions from you guys. Here is what I have to work with now (but would be willing to purchase other parts if they will help, so all suggestions welcome)
stock primary
stock 47 degree helix and red spring
53/43 dalton helix and green spring
stock 22/38 gearing
21 tooth top gear
running this on a stock engine and stock drivers, 136" ripsaw, rider wieght 300lbs geared up, I would like to run it on mostly trails (65%),some off trail and ditch (30%), and only about 5% lake or WOT. So I am looking for a setup for very good response for corner to corner but will not fall on it's face when I hit the powder, top end not as critical

As for right now it has the 53/43, green spring @ 70 degrees, and stock gearing installed. I've put a few miles on and it doesn't seem too bad in the trail (little sluggish), but when I hit the powder it does not like it. Will not pull over 8000 in loose snow. I do think I have some binding isuues with the clutches or some thing else as the engagement seems to be right on about 38-3900 most of the time, but once in a while it goes up to 5000. Also I have noticed the secondary being stuck partially open more then one when I stopped. So I have to figure that stuff out first beore I start experimenting tuning. So I welcome suggestions on what to look for on my current clutching issues, and also set-ups I can try in the near future.
