I'm replacing the heat exchanger on the right side of an 02 Viper. What's the best way to get to the hose connection on the front of the exchanger. There is not enough slack in the hose to pull the exchanger down to get to the hose clamp. Any experience with this?
Tight
Yeah, that's a tight one. You've got to try to get in there from the inside the belly pan maybe with a pair of needle nose vise grips. Put them on th clamp and leave them lying there. Then just work the exchanger off from underneath. If you cant get it this way, the next step would be to pull the chain case so you have room.......but you should be able to get it the first way.
