Well the f7 that was smokin me on top finally came to an end...we went out on a nice groomed railroad bed he got me pretty good the first time...so i wound my secondary down 10 degrees to 60 wrap and we went from a rolling start (30+)and were dead even until 100 then the viper seemed to have more pull top end..THEN blew a big hole in the track...needless to say it was a good ride for the win but the track blow out sucked...took about a 6-inch peice off the side and middle..anyone have a good track for sale?

i have an ok track from 03 viper, has 144 studs, come and get it, 150. should last you the season.

hey i'll call you today or tomorrow and i'll be down to get it, cause i need it for this weekend..scott your the $&*^ thanks

well f7 was ripping the tunnel last time he raced me...raced tongiht on loose snow conditions and he went by the viper like it was stopped around 80-90...dont undertstand this..guy weighs about 50lbs more than me..has a stock f7 motor, just clutching, y-pipe,reeds, and a cdi box or something..i need your guys's help here..hes willing to help me beat him..he has a range of helix's...says ot go with slp's clutchign but i couldn't imagine that beating this setup..if anyone has input it would be well apprieciated guys..thanks

current clutching: 8dn-20's 4.5 tip, 3.1 inner green secondary, 70 wrap 50/43 helix GWG primary...guy has a range of helix's..not sure if this would even do it..maybe gears?

track get a 9830 1" it almost double my hole shot with out changing anything, and its alot lighter, run atf in your chain case, maybe go to a 23 top gear, but the track is the best bang for the buck imo, like 300us tobad you just bought a used stock track.

yeah i know..i just bought that 1 inch 03 viper track...still works better than my 02 track for sure...already have atf in the chain case..have all those little service mods you can do done..i'm tihnkin that 23 top gear is the key! but what i'm wondering is how much clutching will differ just by changing that...its messed up because i'd be about a sled length or two ahead of that f7 on the grass in 500-600ft...but hes killing me out there now :( i'm hoping this isn't all the viper has to offer me..150-155 horse with a 145-150lb rider somethigns not working right!?

23 for sure, that track is not going to be the ticket in our latest snow we got, it is light powder and the track with the deepest lug is going to gain huge on the other starting out. his f7 probly has a 1 1/4.

as for better clutching, if you were going to go with something else, i would try to get more out of what you have, as in, make it roll and run smooth. tighten the skid, turn the drive shaft, mess with track tension. use a timer so you know what your gaining, not run against another sled with other variables. that only works when they are the same sled with similar mods.

how much gain from the 23 top gear?how much loss? will cutching differ alot?'m assuming i'll have to take out some tip weight..turk- if I do the 23 top gear can i keep the green spring for good bottom end-mid range just wrap it at 60-70?or would the red be better at 80?

tighten the skid?can you explain that to me..i thought that would increase track tension?turn the drive shaft?
