Hello! I have an SRX 700 -99 with a 1 1/2" ripsaw and gearing 21/38 (original 23/38 ) besides that it´s all stock.
Now I have bought theese Heavy Hitters (base weight 53grams) from a dealer here in Sweden, and got a startingpoint from him;

Hole#1: 1/2" Socket Allen
Hole#2: Steel Bolt 3/8" Head
Hole#3: Aluminum Bolt 3/8# Head

To the secondary I will use a 48/38 helix with a Yamaha silver spring.
Does this looks like a good start? How much tension should I try on the secondary spring?

He told me that the finish angle om the helix shuldn´t be too aggressive because of bad back shift, but I have read about several setups here on TY and you seem to have them pretty aggressive?

I do most aggressive trail riding on pretty bad/bumpy trails. Yes I know it´s not the optimum sled for this conditions but it was the most pricey I could found and then I was stuck :)
So I want to give it a shot to be even better and maybe kick some of my friends Skidoo and Arctic a**!

The silver is a little aggressive ; i would personally try a green at 70-80 degree wrap but if all you have is a silver go with 60 wrap...nothing higher. That starting point is exactly what i would recommend & that helix should be right on the money. Smart dealer; knows his clutching!!!

Sounds real good, tanks!
His selling Pioneer Performance and TPI products, only one in Sweden that has anything to Yamaha! I bougt pair of those PP Stealth Rods too so I hope that I could test the sled tomorrow or sunday!

By the way, Hole #1 is the one nearest the bolt, right?

Hole #1 is the heel & you can get at it with the weights mounted on the clutch.

Nope ; with hh,s you can access the heel while it is mounted on the clutch also.

I ran a 54-46 with a green spring about 70 degree's with a yamaha orange suilver orange 15.6 rollers and for got how I exactly positioned the weight but that thing pulled like a freught train from bottom to top and was the fastest mph set up I tried on radar.I can get you more info from my notes if your interested.

Must just say that this setup works nice! :)
It pulls much harder than stock and keeps the shift RPM at just under 8500! Haven´t tried a longer pull on hard packed yet cause it´s been around -20 degrees C here for a couple of weeks now:(

One more question, if I install a Rocket Roller with the same secondary spring and helix that I have now, what happens? Will something change because of the lack of friction it gives?

I´ve found a used one to a pretty good price but it has a 56/44 helix in it, do you think I could get it to run good with that? Maybe change to a green spring and take out some weight in the HH?
Something like "Pro116" says in the other thread he wrote;

Primary:
15.6 rollers
Orange-Silver-Orange spring
53 gram base weight Heavy Hitters
Heel-Short set Screw
Center-Empty
Tip-Big boldt 2 wshers(8grams)

What do you think? Can I get it to run better than now with the Rocket Roller or is it a waste of $$??
