Insta :letitsnow lling m-10 today i was wondering if anyone can help me with the best setup at time of install. Any help is appreciated Thanks Stan

Did you get a manual? It all depends on your weight and shock package. It will take a while to break in so it will feel kinda stiff for at least a few hundred miles. If you don't have a manual let me know and I'll help you with setup out of my manual. I'll just need to know some details as stated above.

I am also in the process of putting an M10 under my SRX, got it used off of Ebay, with no instructions. Kind of scratching my head right now wondering what to do, because the guys I got it from said that I did not need the extra mounting bracket that Fast sells. Personally, I think this would be a lot easier if I had the bracket. Am I wrong for thinking that?

Yes, it is easier if you have the mount bracket for inside the tunnel. There is also a cardboard template that makes layout really easy, but I don't remember where mine is.Call fast and get the stuff from them, you may have to buy a yammi mount kit, but it will make the whole process much easier. Then you will have cross shafts that are the right length with all the proper spacers and such. This will probably cost you 2 hundred bucks or so, but you'll know the mounting and geometry of everything is correct.

I just finished today yes u need the template and a mounting kit i used a universal directions were vague but once i figured it out only a couple hours installing my expert x on my 02 was easier cant wait to try i to compare the two any questions that I can help u with pm me and I will be glad to help :letitsnow

Ok Swede,

I've got my M-10 installed now, what do I need to worry about as far as getting it set up right? I've adjusted the FRA so that the sag is between 4-6 inches when I sit on it, per the instruction manual. Anything else I should be adjusting?

so where do you have the fra and how is your preload set and limiter straps mine is also in but stiill questioning set up!

I was looking for this article for ya, but they changed my original bookmarked location, and I couldn't find it from their site. Finally managed to find it. There's some good background info here on what affects what, and some info on how they dialed in theirs. I basically dial in mine this way. I also have a printed copy somewhere of one member's personal setup info that I'll pass on, if I can find it. I hope this helps.

Pull in your limiter strap to 3 or 3.5 and it will work much better. This will help get rid of the tippiness.Make sure that your front shock has about 6-8 threads showing below the adjusting collar.4 inches of sag is good for faster riding with 6 being better for comfort, you'll just have to experiment with that.To set the preload take your spanner wrench and turn the collar inside the rear spring with both nuts in there locked together, this will adjust the rear preload apart from the fra settings. You may have to turn the collar a few turns before the preloads starts changing.
