SO i just installed a 9830 1" and 144 1.175 studs down the middle, and went for my first ride with Flyin Yami and the girls. We rode from gracefield to Maniwaki Que. and the trails were mint.

Just want to say wow what an improvement over the stock track, with the same transfer setup And I even stiffened the rear shocks twice as much and I went from track spin to the skis coming about 1.5feet off the ground it awesome.

So thank alot 2000srx for hooking me up.

I run 144 1.175's on the stock 1 inch finger track, and it is very sticky. Quite an improvement over nothing - probably could have run 1.0875's as well, stickup is pretty high with what I have.

I think I'll be doing the same to mine at some point. Just did the shim install on my skis. Hopefully that will ease some of the darting.
Wooly, did you have to add any protection, or was the stock protection enough?

Did you install a rear heat exchanger ? Dont forget the protectors Im installing them tonight !
no i just got one from ebay though for $35 with shipping and protecters, I bead blasted it and acid etched it and alodined it for corosion protection, looks awesome.

cant wait to do the install, but its frickin cold. have you noticed if any of your studs touched your tunnel, there very close.

Ya im little nervous about the 1.175'studs, It looks pretty close. Thats why im installing the protectors. Also this past weekend i felt like they were grinding my tunnel but it was just ice that built up inside under my tunnel.

Looking for a new track for my SRX. I was going to go with the 1-1/4" but maybe a 1" would be enough. I didn't realize the stock track was that bad.

Put the 1.25 rip saw on late last year after gettin 9000 miles on the 2002 yoko....should have pulled and sold the yoko on day one.
the 1" is the way to go if you stud...I didn't,and so far so good.
set up for full transfer and you get that tripples power to the snow...much better for side hilling and deeper stuff that would pull me down the ditch line before.
#1 best $$ you can spend on a stock Viper IMO

The stock Yoko track is great for top end and i found that it wears well. Ive seen 10000 miles on the yoko tracks and they were still in good shape.
But they suck in the hook up department.

i'm putting a 1" ripsaw in my srx also fron 2000srx
Technically, thats a HACKSAW. 1.25 Inch = RIPSAW, 1.5" = INTENSE

Either way, the lug pattern is the same, just different heights.

I still haven't been able to try my new RIPSAW yet....this weekend looks good though...Can't wait to feel the difference

here's a little example of the difference.

I just installed a new ripsaw on my srx, it used to have a kimpex aggressor. I can't wait to see what the difference is. I just need some snow!!!!!!!
