Hey guys, I have read a little bit about this topic and everywhere I read this, everyone always bores them out to 35.5 mm. Is that the largest you can go with these carbs? Do you run out of wall thickness if you go any larger? Always been a little curious as to why 35.5 is the magic number.
I know cpr bores his your to a 37 taper boring them
it is more about the width of the slide than the thickness of the casting. taper bores end up the same width at the slide. make sure when you do them you offset bore them. set them up so the lower side of the carb is only touched, no material is removed. if not it can mess up your low speed jetting.
