Guys,

This is a weird situation, I am sure that someone... somewhere has ran into this. My 84 phazer shows a X20mmI.D X42MM O.D 12mm thick bearing that goes on my driveshaft (not on the chain case side) this is the bearing behind the speedo gear. My speedo quit working and when I removed the cover I seen that the bearing was taken out and riding its inner race right on the frame. I suprised that this bearing did not seize on the shaft, and this may be the reason for no speedo huh?

But needless to say the I.D of the shaft that it sits on is a 22mm inner diameter. The parts book for the OEM yamaha manual show a 6004RS bearing that goes on that shaft, but a 6004 bearing is a 20mm diameter I.D. Intrestingly enough, the part manual show a 22mm hex nut that goes on to that shaft with a 22mm I.D washer. This is a part misprint because a 20mmI.D bearing (6004) CAN NOT AND WILL NOT fit on a 22mm I.D shaft.

Any one know the proper bearing size for this thing as in a bearing number???

Any help is much apprechiated.

Justin

I believe the 20mm bearing is for the 95 and up.

Drive axel clutch side: 04-152-03 (60/22DU) 44mmx22mmx12mm
Jack shaft clutch side: (2 piece with a collar)
04-156-010R (NTN205U) 52mmx25mmx15mm
Chain case: 04-1560R (6205/2RS) 52mmx25mmx15mm
