Hey guys, finally got some snow yesterday,, after about my first 15 kms I came down off a jump with the track spinning to fast for landing and snapped the chain in my chaincase. gonna see if I can get a chain and some ATF today to get back out tonight or tomorrow sledding again. Just wondering how I go about setting the chain tension correctly when I get the new chain in. Thanks guys, Jeff

exellent....thanks guys,, dealer didn't have a chain and wants alot of money for one, may see if I can find one elsewhere.

Bad advice can cause problems.Finger tight with adjuster. Then back adjuster 1/3 revolution out. This will ensure the chain won't bind causing excess ware on the chain. The chain must have a small amount of slack. The chain will break in and loosen over time so recheck Periodically.

if you need gears and chain pm me. I dont have the expesive chain you have to buy but can put something together for you and ship it

another question, how many teeth for a 02 Viper. I thought in the Yamaha parts list I seen said 68, but the guys at royal distributing when I priced one there told me he lists 70. Thanks guys

Gearing on an 02 Viper should be 22/38 with a 68L chain, assuming it's stock.
He may have been looking at an 02 SRX listing.
