Hey guys, finally got some snow yesterday,, after about my first 15 kms I came down off a jump with the track spinning to fast for landing and snapped the chain in my chaincase. gonna see if I can get a chain and some ATF today to get back out tonight or tomorrow sledding again. Just wondering how I go about setting the chain tension correctly when I get the new chain in. Thanks guys, Jeff

snug the adjuster. not even finger tight, just enough to get most of the slack out.

Bad advice can cause problems.Finger tight with adjuster. Then back adjuster 1/3 revolution out. This will ensure the chain won't bind causing excess ware on the chain. The chain must have a small amount of slack. The chain will break in and loosen over time so recheck Periodically.

another question, how many teeth for a 02 Viper. I thought in the Yamaha parts list I seen said 68, but the guys at royal distributing when I priced one there told me he lists 70. Thanks guys
Gearing on an 02 Viper should be 22/38 with a 68L chain, assuming it's stock.
He may have been looking at an 02 SRX listing.
