Gretings. have a 20001 srx and a 700 vmax. Have had some good success with the oem yamaha belt, but i feel they wear fast. Have tried the dayco max 2 but find that they arent super reliable.
seems i have been blowin a lot of the ultimax 2 lately. They shred at high speeds, or blocks or rubber break off. What is the best belt to use for durability and performance that wont eat the clutch faces because they are too hard of a compound. I have this problem with the stock set up.
Ps just installed heel clicker 2s so i want to use the best belts possible so i wont blow belts anymore.

The 8DN is a very durable belt and can last a long time.
The answer really is to run whichever belt your clutches are setup for. If you have a choice (meaning you are willing to change the setup) I would go with the 8DN unless you have a special requirement for a stickier belt.

I only use OEM Yamaha belts after I tried a Dayco Max one time(not by choice) and it blew apart playing in the powder after only 100 miles. I treat my Yamaha belts the same way for the season and they always last at least 2,500 miles before I change them. I chage them every season.
