Well the Girlfriend and I had to find some snow, the itch was too bad, At first we were going to go to St. Raymond Quebec and start off from there and go North ( Advice from 92vwgti )but since this was her first time Sledding i didn't want to scare her with a big tour for her first time so we decided to go to St. Donat and ride in the Trembley national Park. We arrived Friday night at about 10pm and i wanted to unload the sleds so bad because there was over a foot of snow and the owner of the Inn told me to wait till the morning because i would get lost on the Lake, so i did.
On Saturday we took off at 9am, I started the year with 9968KMS on the sled and we went around the lake to get use to the suroundings. Then took off towards the Park on Trail 33 (I think, Bad signage because the trails just opened.

Quebec Snow
Once we got to the Gates of the Park there was a resturant can't remember the name because it's French, and it was packed, It was about 1pm and they just ran out of gas at the pumps. On this road you could see trucks and trailers for miles on both sides. Here is a pic of a fellow Yamaha rider
. We ordered a club and once i seen these burgers i had to take a picture of them, They looked good but we already ordered. All and all it wasn't too bad for the first ride of the year. In the park the trails were beat up by the time we got there because there was so much traffic. Day 1 125kms and Day 2 175kms. We decided on the 2nd day to go south towards St. Come to get away from the traffic and the trails were excellent until about 2pm we even had some fresh groomed trails. Here are some picks of the of Day 2. For my girlfriends first time out i was impressed, i didn't have to wait on her too much only when the trails were bumpy, when they weren't she was right behind me. And the sleds ran perfect.

On Day 2 we came up to a house that has a pond and they make ice slabs for Ice scupltures that was neat to see, Also a swinging bridge and only 1 sled at a time and it really does swing. The last pick is us coming home on Monday morning, go figure they were supposed to get 15 to 25 cms of snow.

She loved it. She was a little sore after the first day. Her new nick name is Jenny Throttle. On the lake she was even trying to race me i couldn't belevie it.At first she started to complain about the no snow ( before the ride ) and that she was going to sell it but now i don't think i could get her off it. Shes a natural.

It is addicting. The novelty of the snow makes it what it is to me. I have missed it lately, but sure won't ever get out of it. My wife rides a viper too, it is nice when they enjoy it so you so do something fun together. After she gets used to it and more experienced a clutch kit and studs make that sled really fun. Put a riser on for her to, my wife fought me tooth and nail on the riser, until she got beat up on a bumpy trail one day, now she has a 4" riser.

Wait until you get your girlfriend on some decent trails, she will love the sport even more . Saterday was pretty rough for my standards and very icy. I got a pic from yesterday that someone else posted in the park, It looks like they got a lot more snow in the last few days !

Viper Treats her sled is the Venom and it already has 144 studs, i would like to clutch it and put a can on it but i think she is too in love with it she would even let me spin the track one day on the stand because she thought i was hurting it. Does your wife really notice a difference with the riser?
quebec#1 I have a couple of picks from the resturant with an apez and a lengend, we saw so many sledders i did see a couple of nice vipers. Is this the 2 sleds from your group?

Well fortuneatly and unfortuneatly she is pregnant so no reports on the bar riser this year. Next year for sure. And I am laid up after surgery so I can't ride until about 3-4 weeks from now, UGGG! They are cheap to try a 2", no cable changes needed, and if she doesn't like it it is a small investment, but she will. I also put a doo skid in it because she is so light it is hard for her to compress the viper proaction. No reports on that either. That is funny about the stand. I would forget the can, but the clutch kit is a must after she gets some miles under her belt. A hauk #3 (I think that is what she has) works great, I think about $180, just a primary spring and helix/sec spring change.
