I have an 81 Exciter and will be swaping out the primary for a Comet 102C. I'm thinking seriously about installing a roller for the secondary. Have any of you done this already? Did you have to change the jackshaft?
At the moment I'm thinking of either going with a Polairs or Team. The only thing(s) holding me back is knowing what shaft to use and Helix/spring. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

only thing you can do is have a custom jackshaft made for it, then use a key way clutch on it from a cat or polaris, I did this on a 79 srx440 drag sled.
