A lot of talk about loss of HP with cans. Those of you who do or have run these cans, do you think you've lost any HP.

I'm running one now. Didn't run the sled stock long enough to compare. I love the sound and weight savings. Am I loosing HP?

Yea, You do lose a little.....maybe 3-4 HP. You don't notice it by just the "seat of the pants" feel of the sled. If you line up agaist your buddys sled and compare both you will see about a sled length in a 1/4 mile difference.

I agree you do lose a little. My clutching is bang on with the stock can but is 500-600 lower at wot with the mbrp can. I only install it when the wieght savings is going to make a difference. Like wehn i go seldding on lakes in Wawa where no one has been(sweet powder).

Other than that it does sound wicked.

I rode all last season with the stock silencer on.....and I put a rumble pack silencer on this year.....I'm not into drag racing at all.....I ride in the mountains all the time and I can't see any difference....sounds sweet too!!

I agree you do lose 3-4 hp with the can. I put my viper on the dyno-jet and it was anywhere from 3-5 hp loss. It for the most part was constant at 3hp loss. But what the hell, if you are not racing it, you can't beat the sound of them.

That is just with the can and stock pipes right? If you put triple pipes on it then it gives you more power? I just bought my first sled last year and I am still learning.
