My 97 700 sx is stumbling bad between 6000 and 7000 rpm at speeds of 70kmh(35mph) and 90 kmh(55mph)
The engine is stock Put new plugs in
I've put a sxr stationary sheave on the primary
have a 49/43 helix and the spring(green) is in position 1 and 6
New helix buttons and new bushings in the secondary
Rollers on the primary roll free and the arms look good (no grooves)
Can't figure out why it is now stumbling so bad.Any ideas??

Is it a bog, or is it missing and sputtering? If it just seems to hang up, like it doesn't want to shift, it is your clutches. If it is sputterring clean your carbs. Hope this helps.

Feels like a "bog" there is no power between 6000 and 7000rpm when driving between 80km/h and 100 km/h Just cleaned the carbs out 300 kms ago.Had the cluches off and cleaned up when the snow fell.Everything looked good on the arms(no notches).Replaced the bushings late last season also.Just also put new bushings in the secondary again because the old ones worked their way out and replaced the buttons for the helix.

Well went out for a ride last night and it vibrated at 80kms and up.Came back at a crawl.Took out the jackshaft and driveshaft all bearings were good but noticed the set screws for the jackshaft bearing collar(clutch side) were missing.Found the ones from the old bearing and set them in with loctite this time.Put it all back together and gave it the once over before taking it out for a test drive and noticed the arrows on the belt were facing the wrong way so I flipped the belt around and then went out.
Drove smooth and no bog.HMMMMMM Did I put the belt on backwards before too!!!
Don't know but all is good for now.Might have done alot of work for a little problem.
