I am wondering what kind of gains I would get for having my heads shaved .020? I would also like to know what else I would have to do to the sled if I put these heads on it?? Jetting, clutching or any thing else...........

not much really, a little better throttle response, will change jetting slightly as the motor will build heat a little faster. To be honest I wouldnt bother if your not porting it or anything else, youd be far better off bang for the buck with clutching the sled to "perfecto"
I shaved my heads 15 thou on my 98 600 srx.Don,t shave any more then that unless your gonna run extra base gaskets for a poor mans port job. Run good fuel or your gonna have trouble. You will gain low end & mid but it might cost ya some top end.

The reason that I asked the question is there is a set if heads on ebay right now and last year I cooked mine because the person I bought the sled from didn't put it together right. Do you think that this is safe????
. Those are racing heads....not for trail riding!!!!! If you buy em run an extra base gasket then you will be fine.
