I would like to purchase a helix for my sled.... 50/40 angles, i was wondering if anyone has a part number or has a 50/40 helix for sale
I think he wants to know what brand helix you are looking for.

Can you get them through Yamaha?? or do they have to be an aftermarket company, sorry im new to this clutching thing and have never had to buy parts for it. I was at a dealer the other day and he was unable to find any helix other then the stock piece. His computer didnt even list a "helix" as a part. Bender, Hauck, or any aftermarket part numbers would be much appreciated or if anyone has a spare laying around if they would like to sell it. Also i need to get a green secondary spring. Thanks a lot, and sorry for the misunderstanding earlier redsnake

PM 2000srx or richierich on the site, they can get you hooked up with a 50/40 helix.

call 2koolperformance .ca they can send everything u need they have many brand like dalton industrie ect 613-925-4015

How about Pioneer Performance? I've never dealt with them, but was thinking about ordering a helix and spring. Does anyone know if they are reputable with a quality product?

Yes modsrx i called them today, i can order the spring through Yamaha so thats no big deal at all. The helix on the other hand is a different story, I can order a 50/40 helix from dalton and it will be specially made, or i can get a 50/38 helix which they have in stock. My question is this: what difference will the 50/38 make compared to the 50/40?? I'm going to try running one of Turks setups off one of the clutch tuning pages on this site. His setup is as follows: 50/40 helix, Red heelclicker spring, 3-5 grams in the heel, 4-5 grams in the tip, a small bolt in the first hole, and a green yamaha spring in the secondary wrapped at 60 degrees.

Now if i did order the 50/38 helix would this setup change much or could i keep things relatively the same with it?? If anyone has any ideas on what helix to order or anything to improve or add to this setup it would be greatly appreciated

I can get a 50/40 helix specially made, but im wondering just to make it a lot easier if i could replace the 50/40 helix with a 50/38. Its just because they actually have the 50/38 in stock so it would be easier for the guy rather then having to send out and have one specially made

the advant-edge helix are cut more aggresive then other companies. If the set up requires the advant-edge 50/40 you cant use another brand at that same angle.

running a couple degrees shallower will alow you run more tip weight with H/C's and this is a good thing, get the 50/38 it will be just fine.

i order that helix and it was not in stock and they told me it was not cut too . it take too day too get it at my place never seen something that fast before... still your choice but they have very fast delivery like i says it take me 2 days after i talk to 2kool ....

Wow they do soud like they have good service, I was just thinking it would be easier for the guy if the part was actually in stock there rather then having to order it. Im only about half hour away so i could go pick it up whenever, I was just wondering if there was a benefit to running a 50/40 compared to a 50/38. Im definately going to be buying one or the other from 2kool since there so close to me and there service seems really good. Mrviper said that the 50/38 would be better to run with because then i could run more tip weight... im just wondering how much extra weight i could run on the tips compared to Turks setup specs.
