Just got done replacing fuel and oil lines on my 97 v-max 600,was wondering if it necessary to bleed the oil line and pump. If so, what is the correct way. Thanks.
Kris,
There should be a screw on top of the pump, break it loose and let the oil flow, then tighten the screw back down.
On my 700SX the sccrew is on top as you would look down at it from under the hood, it is almost a gold or brass color............ dont drop it........

I would also run a tank of 50:1 mix to be on the safe side and check to make sure the oil level in the tank goes down.
Bleed the pump by the screw bolt, loosen it off and rotate the engine without starting it and when the oil is running out tighten it up. Start it, pull apart the oil cable or pull on the oilpump cam and see if she smokes up at idle...you will know then that the oil is getting there...Don't just rely on the pre-mix, cause once you run out of fuel and the oil pump is not doing it's job and you gas up with fuel only...guess what...she blows up...
