Seller says he needs to sell and will take $2500 firm. Has 3800 miles and claims to be in great shape. :o| Heard that before. What hidden issues should I look for.

I've gotta believe more of these type deals will start appearing the closer to spring we get with no snow. Especially when the new sleds get introduced.

Taking a look this weekend. Fingers crossed.

I can't tell you of any secret places to look at but just the regulars

1. overall condition of the body/exterior
2. wearing & corrosion on the pipes & exhaust
3. wear underneath the skiis and on the carbides
4. belly pan condition
5. loose steering

Dont worry,

Trust me on this. With that many miles on it, You can tell if a person took care of it.

Bought an 02 SRX with 6400 miles and I thought for sure it was still brand new when I looked at it.

Yeah I am finding things now as I look deeper.Just got it home at 7pm.Getting tired now,but it is in the heated garage defrosting so I can take a good look at the suspension and such. All I know is compression is equal at 120.Jetting must be good, plugs all a nice brown/tan color.Put premium gas in,the other guy said he only used regular gas.Oil is a toss up what brand. He used synthetic oil.I topped up with Amsoil Synthetic for now.Would you recommend Blue Marble Oil,been using on my SXR.Got 6 gallons left.Wicked power when I pinned it today, the front raises nicely and when standing at end of running boards, she jumped right up about 3 feet man.The stock transfer rods are not ajustable.I am a clean freak and got to clean inside engine compartment somehow. My SXR is clean for sure.
I will get it done slowly.Just need to do some basic things to get it going.Ski alignment, replace air filter plastic frame and retainer frame. The part that holds the clips are broken, and piece is broken in the front of the filter..like 6 inches long.Don't want snow getting thru there. So basically this sled is all stock. Will put on a new belt, have one here.Just wanna drive her for now and will do any major and minor cosmetics to it later in the summer.Got to pay off this sled first.By next season should have it really running strong. But any pre-tips wouldn't hurt now.Just need a tach that works first so I can see where I am with the rpm's,that is number one.
