Hey guys
I got a 99 SRX and the plastic bracket that the hinge bolts to broke off. I've tried every epoxy i could find to try and glue it back but nothing works. Does anyone know first off what the hood is made of and secondly what can i use to patch this?

Right off the start I'd say that the only way to get a repair in that area strong enough to hold would be plastic weld.Look around your area and see if anyone does it,take the hood to them and they should be able to tell you if it's the type of plastic they can weld.I cant think of any glues or epoxys right off that would stand up to the strain in that spot.

Had that happen one time and after many different glues I finally bought 2 more hood tie downs for the front of the sled

I had mine fiberglassed. It is strong as hell, but needed to shave some down to make it fit. Go see the guys that do boat repairs, that's who did mine.
