I just got a set of tunnel protectors from the yamaha dealer and am wondering on where to install them on my 98 srx 700. There are some holes already drilled in the tunnel, but they are in the middle and far outside of the tunnel. Am i supposed to drill holes, or use existing? Are the protectors supposed to go over the track clips? I am running a 1 inch Camoplast track with 144 sno stuff studs down the middle that stick above the track lugs approximently an 1/8 inch. Directly above the the track clips. You also need to remove the gas tank to do it correctly.
