Anyone have pics or info on this sled???? Were they a one off racer chassis and what spec motor did they use?

Here is a quick pic of Lynn Trapps #20 '74 Pancake SRX. Super exotic 3/4 scale. Only 4 ever made. I heard that the divers had strick orders not to crack them up. At the time I was told they cost in the area of $30,000 each.
Also is Lynn Trapps '75 Liguid 433GPX. Pre-SRX sled
and also Waynne Trapps '75 Liguid 338GPX
I believe these sleds were raced in the PDC circuit only
Can someone else chime in with more details.

In 1975 yamaha built a few liquid GPX's. There wasn't a 75 SRX. Maybe your thinking of the 74 SRX 440 Snopro sled? It was available only in the 440 engine size and I believe yamaha built four of them at Approx. 20,000 apiece.

Yup, I was thinking of the 74 Pancake style. Anyone ever think about building a replica of one of these? Anyone have any underhood pics?

hopefully someone will post more pics. Somewhere I have another pic, but its not to detailed. Chassie was magnesium and overall smaller than the GPX.

I have a friend with a '75 srx, it is similar to the gpx chassis, liquid cooled 340, fuel injected, but it was named the srx, I'll see if I can dig up a pic

Good info guys, I'm just starting to get into the vintage stuff. I pulled my 79 SRX up into the garage today to begin the restoring. I'm not sure which direction to go with it though, I was going to make a racer out of it, but now I'm not sure.

If memory serves me correct. Didnt the Liguid GPX have hand cast liguid coolded cylinders wich still had free air fins on them. And also, I believe the cranks were a one piece marine type

That would be the one, but the other one I know of has '76 like srx decals on it, which I was told were correct for the year.

your gpx was infact the "liguid gpx" that I hear so much about? I know little about them, but was thinking they were a cross between the "pancake srx" and the true SRX in 76. Intresting stuff. Can you supply us with any more pictures and details please

Her's a picture of the 75 Liquid motor. The sled it's in has the updated 76 wide front end. Looks like a SRX,but is a GPX.

under the hood. Nice guy. Meet him at the alpine show in NY. Everyone thinks it's a 76 Snopro. Not! Very rare liquid GPX.

Thats the liguid gpx alright. Well, from all that I've been told anyway. Never seen one in person, but that does have the right hand casted cylinders and injector carbs. Those srx snopro hoods are being reproduced and I see them all the time on SRX's.
Did the liguid gpx use the gpx bulkhead or a early copy of the '76 srx? Based on the Pic I posted of Lynn Traps, it looks like they used a srx bulkhead??
