Anyone out there have this problem . I installed a 1" hacksaw in my 02 Viper and it appears that because of the full width rubber lugs they now rub on the upper tunnel protectors. Any suggestions to fix or do I just let them wear . It stops the track instantly on a jack stand when you let off the throttle .

I thought 1in tracks fit with no problems, but I could be wrong.
Are you running studs???? Or plan on running studs???? If your answer is NO to both questions then just remove the tunnel protectors. I'm running a 1.25 predator track with no studs and removed ALL the protectors so I wont have any issues with rubbing.

I'm running 96 - 1.075 studs down the middle so the protectors have to stay . I'm just wondering if the suspension my hold the secret . The original track had full clips and open windows , this one is clipped every third window .

I use a fence clipper tool to cut down the lugs in the spot that they rub on the protectors. Alot of guys on here just let them burn off. Every hacksaw I've installed on an SRX or Viper rub in those spots.

how did you remove the front ones? they are welded top and bottom right??
I studded my 1 1/4 ripsaw and clipped the lugs about an 1/8-1/4" over the windows, which makes it about the same hight as you 1" hacksaw. Mine rubs pretty bad also, just when getting off the gas or braking. If you clip your hacksaw, take a little off at a time to make sure your studs have enough clearence.I would only take off a 1/8" and live with the noise, its better than replacing heat exchangers!!

Grind the bottom welds down so its no longer holding itself to the sled, find a BIG screw driver and place it IN the hole of the protector, and wiggle it around, and the top weld will break.

what year viper? viper s? if you have smaller drivers it wouldnt touch either
I just put on a 1.25 ripsaw and it rubbed for 50kms than stopped. I am also fully clipped. The clipped every 3rd might be what is stopping it. My bro has a clipped every third and he burnned belts of there was marginal snow.
