Hi Turk!

In the tech section you say to use the reed spacers. Is there an advantage to the reed spacers over notching the paddle stops?

You also recommend a 51/43 helix, I currently have a bender clutch kit. Do you know what angle the bender helix is, and is this a good helix to run?

I am not sure that I want to peel the head gasket due to the price of the higher octane fuel. Should I still use the 4.5g rivet, 3.1g tip, and should I stick with the bender spring or use the stock spring with the shims?

Is the 142.5 mains still good for the stock head gasket with the clutching specified, and what about the screws and needles, should they be left in stock location?

I had a 97 that I notched the intake side of the cylinder skirt to match the shape of the intake port on the top. I did this based on an article that Aaen had written in snow tech magazine. It is supposed to help with the problem of the cylinder skirt blocking a portion of the intake port. Have you ever tried this, or do you have any thoughts about this?

One more question. How would a 21 tooth top gear work? I have one that I would like to try until I order a 22 tooth.

Any help would be appreciated. I ride primarily groomed trails, at least for the little bit of time that they are groomed before they are torn up. At this time my SX is completely stock, with the exception of the adjustable transfer rods, and the bender clutch kit.

Thanks!
