Why buy a 01 or 02 srx when I own a 99

how many differences are there between a 99 srx 01,and 02 and what are they .my 99 is heavy modded (no big bore).im thinking of a new to me sled would it be worth the money for the differences, im sure some1 out there has ridden all 3. is either 1 any better than the other in deep snow? or is a viper better for that?

what mods do you have done?

00 and up have the dual beam headlight, 300 watt ignition

01-02 have dual hand and thumb warmers

the crank and case between 98-99 differ from 00-02

If your sled is in good shape and running good I wouldnt bother getting a newer model.

Hey tomseal6,what kind off set up would you recommend for my 2002 SRX in the clutching department.Sled runs strong now stock,but just curious.Also you know in the secondary when you install it with the bolt to the splined shaft,first you have the bolt(with collar over it of course),then a thick washer and are supposed to have 3 thin washers that fit over the collar to give secondary just enough movement sideways.My SXR has them.Unless someone took the secondary off and forgot the 3 washers,I don't have them.Do I really need them.The secondary has a good 1/8" side play for sure without them.

I think you need them, the manual says you need a certain amount of
play,somone didn't put them back in for some reason,thats to much play.

Yea daman.I thought so.When you buy a used sled from someone,you have to go throughout the whole sled and look for things like that.Carry on Dude,carry on.Let me know how your 2001SRX does today.

Yup always go through my sleds good when i first get it.

i'm going out in and hour here to tear into it, got the garage heating up
now.
