Wow, I love this sled! Power, styling, handling, and the sound! Oh yeah, this is after coming off a 1991 Phazer Pogo!
Well, I got up north Thursday night in actual -30C temperatures. Not including windchil. Took about 20 pulls to start it because it was so cold. In my garage at home it'd fire up 4th pull from cold. Warmed it up, took it off the trailer and put it away for the night.
Friday morning it was -15 and my bro and I set out for the Sequin trail. Our small feeder trail wasn't groomed yet, but then we came across a groomed section closer to the Seguin trail. Wow was I happy to see this.
We had to cross a lake to get to the Seguin and saw a set of tracks on the lake. Being so cold the last few nights, we decided to go across after seeing two others stop and question it as well. We pretty much pinned it, and we ended up breaking through the slusy layer in a few places. Scarry as S***, but we later found out that there was about 3 or 4 inches of clear hard ice underneath. Wish I had pics but the batteries were dead.
The seguin was in pretty good shape, but my skiis were hitting rocks quite often. I never checked my carbides... hope they're okay.
Saturday was snowing, here are some pics: Our lake, same slushy layer, but there were two huts and an ATV out there.
On a small feeder trail 340, 350, 320 Distric 10.
My Viper and I:
On the cottage drive way: We don't have it plowed, so we walk our things into the cottage.
So the Viper is incredible. I love it. Handles very well, soft suspension, and piles of power. I say 176kms/hr on the speedo, but that was lots of track spin when breaking into the slush. Lakes need to firm up so I can get a good speed run in.
