Does anyone know how thick the Hauck base gasket for the srx is? I was thinking of stacking 2 stock base gaskets, to bump the base. And then do a head cut.

i think the srx gasket is 8 thou. i have a thick base gasket here that is 26 thou. if you are looking for one.

don't do that it does work so mutch just keep your original gasket and shaved head

i just did that and ill come back to stock gasket.. make sure to keep your squish right

yeah you cant just put in a thicker head gasket without checking the squish and expect it to work. you need to get the heads trimmed down to regain the compression.

I have a friend who is a machinist he has cut heads for my dirtbike and previous sleds that I have owned. I was going to bump the base and bring my squish down to 55 thou. The 20 thou gasket you have is it new or used?

don't do that you will regrets your move ....been there done that lolll.. ask mr viper about it he will teach u a little about it

the gasket has about an hour on it but is still in mint condition, this will gain you power when done correctly.
