Me and my wife went for a ride Saturday. Started in Kalkaska and went over by mayfield. Then down to manistee river then back to kalkaska. Only 110 miles all day but did not go real fast because I was with the wife It was fun anyways just to get out. Good trails considering the snow fall this year.
This was at Supply rd. Staging area for a short break.

How was the traffic?
My Pop lives in Traverse City and were thinking about taking the sleds up.

I love stopping at Ranch Rudolph, if nothing else for the fireplace!

Traffic was not really that bad. I have seen worse. Everyone seemed to ride descent and slowed up when oncoming traffic came. Only had one idiot on a new artic cat flying down a hill on my side of the trail and did not get over and never slowed down. He even roosted a rock at my helmet. Then almost took out my wife who was a little further back into a corner. Some people should not even be allowed out there. He was all by himself. Other than that it was great. When riding out to the parking area past Mayfield that was some of the best trails I had seen. Nice and smooth and freshly groomed.
Sounds like snow up there all week should be great riding.

Where is the trail police when ya need them that guy should be horse wiped
driving like that, people like that are just a waste of good air, #$%&* #$%&* ...

Bisch, how's snow in Traverse city????

The snow is finally piling up in TC. I have 14" in my front yard at the moment and it's still coming down. By the way did you like the improvements to road in front of the Ranch. That was my first design project in TC. Just watch out for the cross road culvert at the end of the Ranch's driveway. I hope Sid put a fence or marker around it because I knew a sled would drop a ski in it for sure.
