went for a short ride tonight, and about half way throught the ride i slowed down to about idle after a long straight. i had just completly let off the gas and then went to go again and the rpm's would go up to about 3500 but no further, it would just bounce there until i let off the trottle for about 5 second, then it would go again. i think this could have something to do with my tors but im not sure... please help!

thanks

if the rpms sounded like they were bouncing or sort of chugging it's definetly the TORS. TORS limits the rpm to 3500 when it's activated. The SRX i just picked up had a tendancy to engage the TORS so i just plugged the two wires into eachother for now.

Sounds like tors to me. I have had that happen to me when I have had my carbs off, when I put it back together I get the throttle cable to tight. Then I loosen it and it is fine again.

Disconnect your tors, then you can at least eliminate that.
Two wires coming out of the top of your carbs.
Plug the two ends out of the carbs together and the two other ends together. Then if the problem is fixed, you know it is the tors. If it's the same then plug them back together the right way and look for another cause of your troubles.
It's up to you to ride with the tors disconnected or not, it's your sled.
My OPINION is to disconnect it, but that's just me.

anybody got a pic of where the cables are? not completly formiliar with tors. how do i loosen the cable?

The throttle cable on top of the carb has a lock nut and a cable retainer loosen the lock and screw the retainer down i belive. You will feel more play in the flipper when you adjust.
