Hey i have a 98 msrx 700 sled....this sled has bender cold air kit and gutted airbox, hauck lake/race clutch kit, rejetted up 4 sizes from stock....and a hauck howlder....just wondering where my fuel screws should be set at right now they are 1 and 3/4 turns out....i ran a good 200 km day run running from idle to 1/2 throttle and pulled the plugs and all 3 look pretty black should i set these screws in a little but or just leave it where it is....they plugs get a nice tan coulour when i am over 1/2 throttle for a long time...if i set these screws in will it affect my part throttle fuel milage..???

I would look at your needles, have much more effect on the midrange than the pilots. Someone might've set them richer. Small adjustments have big effects when it comes to the needles.

get in there and see where they are adjusted now first. If your plugs are all as dark as you say they are you could probably go a half notch leaner on all of them depending on where they are right now. 4 sizes richer on the mains just because of a cold air kit and gutted box sounds like a ton too.

about that 4 sizes up on the mains that was benders recommendation you go 1 size up for the cold air kit and 3 more sizes up for the gutted airbox...

also this sled seems to pull great through the entire rpm range right up to 8200 rpm but when i get into deep powder it seems to bog until i get back on the hard pack trail.....could this be the hauck howlers not having enough backpressure....also i have the mountain max deflector on it....could it be powder hitting the plug boots and shorting out....when i pull all 3 boots off and start the sled it looks like its sparking from the side of the boot to the head...is this normal....
