Hello,
Anyone know anything about the twin pipes PSI made to fit the exciter 570?
are they hard to find? how much difference in performance did they give? did they hurt the reliability of the engine? How do they compare to a PSI single pipe?
Thanks,
Russ

The PSI twin pipe made about 91 H.P. at 7750rpms & about 62 FT.LBS of torque compared to about 87 H.P. at 7200 RPMS and 64 FT.LBS of torque for the PSI single. The problem was the Exciter didn't like to run at 7750 RPMS because that is where the cranks would vibrate and cause the fuel flow to lean out to the point that they would seize .PSI made a balancer to stop the vibration . You are better off using the single and save yourself a lot of headaches.

Tell me about the single pipe. How much for the pipe shipped to Grand Rapids, MI 49321? Do you have information on set-up, such as jetting changes or clutching? Does the single pipe also rev to 7200 like the stock pipe?
