Goddam dealership ordered me the wrong power valve cable...the got me one for a '98, and wasn't even close to fitting.
Anyhow, I need the #1 cylinder (clutch side) cabe, for a 99 SRX700
Anyone have the exact part number so I can staple it to his forehead when he orders the right one???
Thanks in advance - rant over....

order the one for the 2000 (I think) my husband had the same issue, it's yamaha's fault, they have the wrong p/n in the order system. I'll double check with my husband tonight if it was the 2000 or 2001 that they ended up ordering for him.
edit** re-read all the posts and see that things are all worked out.

2000-2002 they change cable cause the servo is not at the same place

I had thought that only the '98s had the alternate location....it was a screw-up at the dealer...he thought I said Magneto side, when I clearly said Clutch side about 10 times.....anyways, I gave them the part number, and they said yup, thats the clutch side one....and I said, ok, so why did you send the wrong one?? and of course, they blamed me!
Oh well, she'll be rokin again for the weekend
So, the 98 and 99's have the same servo location?? and it changed with all the other changes for the 2000+ models?

My husbands 99 has the servo motor in the same location as the 2000+ models on the side of the airbox, not on the front of the air box. The 98's have the servomotor on the front of the air box. There may be 99's with the motor on the front...but we had to order the cable for the 2000 SRX to get the right one. Here is the P/N for the 2000 8DF-1133F-10-00
Looks like you should get the proper cable from your dealer.
