ok well on a ride this weekend my dash started to go on and off, then i parked for lunch came out and there was a big puddle of oil under my sled.
The oil line from the tank was rubbing on wires and eventially the both worwe through. so i had to mix oil in the gas for safety as i had a 3hr ride ahead of me.
I think im lucky it didnt catch fire there is some burn marks, the blue wire with white stripe and white wire where worn threw.
so check yours today here is a pic.

all fixed up replaced the line and rapped it in fire proof aircraft plastic wire wrap (cant remember what its called its white, also fixed the wires and did the same. and while i was at it, i covered the wires that run under the motor
didnt know your friend run a 1in1/4 track thats why he is not fast on top end
if u have nothing to do on sunday will go on lac st-pierre for radar run if u wanna come and tell your friend

Where is the problem located. right side under engine? I have an 02 and I keep hearing about this problem. I will have to check mine out for sure!!! Thanks!!!

its the line from the bottom of the oil tank uder the carbs next to the left side motor mount.
