Alright I aligned my skis today and noticed that I had about 1/2inch of showing threads on the left tie-rod.(Thread width is equal inside and out). BUT the right side I hardly have any thread left over(Inside and Out). But my spindles are aligned in the same spot on top of the trailing arm. And when I check my alignment with a square the skis are not far off from one another with a slight toe out. So my question is what is causing the thread diff. from one side to the other? Any help is MUCH appreciated. Brett

I aligned mine the other day on an 03 mtn viper and had the exact same situation. What do the stock vipers look like? I was adding a lightweight kit to mine and didn't pay attention to the thread amount when I took the stock parts off.

It could be the radius rods are adjusted tighter on one side, mine were.

you need to re center your bell crank under the pipe. this is done with the tie rode that runs under the motor
in an extreem case, you wont be able to turn as far one way as the other

BTV is it even possible to adjust that tie rod without removal of the motor???? Cause I did notice that the "bell crank" was favoring the left side. But if engine removal is required I'm waiting till after the season, cause say I do bent or tweak something(knock on wood) I wont beable to adjust the tie rods anyway without removal of my SLP's. Cause yes I'm one of those gas guzzelers.
