My wife and I have rode 2 times this year and I took the sleds in the garage to thaw out and figured I would check the belts. My sled was fine but got to my wifes sled (94 V-max 600) and the belt was fine but noticed the rollers on the primary had flat spots. I left the clutch on the sled and loosened the bolt and took out each roller and shim and pin out. 2 are totally shot and 1 had some wear to it. I noticed when loading it up last time that it just did not have the same power. Well I am going to get new rollers tommorow and hopefully the dealer has them in stock. My question is do they sell a kit with rollers pins and shims or are they indiviual parts. If so what kind of cost? Will I be shocked or not to bad? Also should I replace the weights at the same time?
Also how often do these parts go bad? I have only had the sleds a year and rode them 5 times? I read here that the twins are notorious for wearing clutch parts?
Thanks hope to get back together for the weekend. n8sjh steve
