I have a 1995 600 vmax...
i just changed the weight arms, and rollers..
both springs..
all stock...
also i put carbon fiber reeds in..
and has twin psi pipes..
mains are 160..
it only revs upto 7000... nice and smooth.. but only 120 km/h now..
stays at 7000 at 3/4 throttle.. wot doesn;t move up at all
i had the secondary set at 3 inside and 6 outside..
just wondering what it should be.. and what they mean..
thanks

if you have your secondary in the 3rd and 6th hole, that is way too tight(that means its wrapped at 90deg).....
basically, if u add up the two 'hole' numbers and multiply by ten, you get the wrap degree.
in ur case, 3+6=9...9x10=90dgs
from the stock specs for your sled....u shud be wrapped at 1 and 3, which makes 40deg.
you could maybe experiment and try it at 2 and 3(50deg) or 3 and 3(60deg)....
at 90dgs, ur secondary isnt opening up all the way(cause its too tight)

sounds to me like your weights are too heavy, not sure how many rpms the twin 600's are supposed to turn but i'm sure its more than 7,000. Check with the pipe manf. see what rpm the pipes are supposed to run, then tune from there.
