Anyone using one? I ordered one that arrived the other night, went to test fit it and it seems like it is going to be an odd fit.
The bag is the correct part #, And it was squezzed into the package, so I layed it flat on the foor so it can get it's shape back.
It appears to me that there will be alot of "air space" under the bag when mounted because of the way the "air ducts" run.
Any suggestions? By the way, my garage is not heated, so the bag was stiff.
Thanks,

Yeah, the bag does not fit great. I found it easier to install and position the bag with the windy off. Even then, it is kind of lumpy. The two sided tape that comes with the bag does not stick very well to cowl. I am now using 3M double sided body molding tape that seems to be holding up. The bag does hold lots of stuff. However, small items can find their way up and behind the speedo which makes it tough to retrieve them. G.B.

I second the fact that the Viper bag doesn't fit very good. I used a heat gun on the tape to make it stick better. With time the bag will take shape (if you keep it full).

I have had a couple people ask me about the 3M tape. You should be able to can pick this stuff up most anywhere. I think I might have bought my last roll at Meijers. Any automotive parts store including Murrays should have it. It is usually by the automotive paints. It comes in something like a 1 or 3 yrd. roll and is designed for attaching body side moldings. Lucky me, my brother is a body man, so he should have some tape lying around. I should be able to mount this puppy over the weekend. Too bad it's going to be super cold.

Maybe this link will help a little.http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=31885 I had the same problem but i filled the bag with some rags for it to take shape and then used some crazy glue on the back of the velcro that sticks to the machine. Once the bag takes form its not so bad !
Thanks quebec#1.
The link was just what I needed.

Hi guys,
I looked over this forum before I installed my Yamaha windshield bag. Good stuff! To form the bag I stuffed it with newspaper and left it for several days. I removed the windshield before mounting and used plastic push pins or some call them windshield darts to mount the bag instead of fussing with velcro. I then removed all the paper. Its shape is staying after 2 rides and 150 miles.
