'81 SS440 vs '80 EX440. first time around everyone said the EX would be faster but my SS was. My buddy with the the EX wants a re-match, he says he's got it running better! so do I. I think he is bringing his SRV to the dance this time. last year his SRV vs my SS was back and forth. at the end of the year he was beating me on takeoff and I was pulling harder and catching up. in the 400'-500' stretch we were running in he was only a half a sled length ahead with me gaining on him. this year it's going to be interesting between the SRV and the SS -I got rid of the low end bog I had so I think I can keep up with him out of the hole but he just rebuilt his top end and found out that the piston to cylinder clearance was way over the tolerance. so his should pull harder down the track. I know the SRV should be faster hands down but once the sleds get 20 plus years old and have been tweeked on, worn out, repaired.......any thing can happen
