came acrost this 97 sx600 on ebay today. guy said hes rode it 4 times. clams its a 650.. he dosent no to much about it thing looks like its in fantastic condition. but what i was startled by was the turbo. never seen one on a 600 twin yamai, wonder what kinda power it puts out. the turbo outlet tube looks like its about an inch in diameter.. dosent seem like you could shove to much air therew there. tell me what you guys think.

that sled was on there probaly 8-9 months ago.areocharger made tubos for the 600twins but that company went out of business so it's hard to get your hands on any parts when they fail.

I don't think so.I never herd of too many on the 600's.There was quite a few from that company the people had them on skidoo 670's and vmax 4's the 670's where real finicky byt he 44's ran good with some proiblems here and there.

the sled has something like 2600miles, that i can pick out, also he states it has a 7000 rpmclutch stall??? thats only on cars right.
7 grand engagemt!?!?, holy chit..

I watched these 2 stroke twins with turbos at a snow drag race open mod class one time against a sled with NOS. The turbo got spanked by the NOS sleds!!

i have a hard time keeping my sled from ratcheting at 4700 , 7000 ?

If set up for drag racing you can run higher engagment mp improve stock engaged at 6500rpm's

I presently own a very similar setup. 600sx with the same Aerocharger turbo. Higher engagement is required for a decent holeshot. And yes they do take a bit of playing around with to be competitive in drag racing especially since most race events stick you in open mod because of the turbo!

I love the "High Performance Suspension" bit.

Looks completely stock front and rear (except better shocks, Maybe?). Plus besides studs that is the same track I yanked out of my '97.

Kind of funny how bad those pics are. Wonder if the seller has Parkinson's? Seriously though how could you take that many pictures and mess up the size of the motor. It's in bold on both sides of the hood. And if we can read the mileage on the speedo why can't he put it in the description?

If you think that ratcheting was a problem on a stock setup you should see what it's like when the turbo comes on, WOW. I installed external drivers to take care of the ratcheting problem.
