looks like you will be replacing the tunnel and possibly the heat exchangers. Coolant loss is probably why you over heated.

Its not hard to replaces a tunnel. Once you get a new tunnel, you can replace any damaged heat exchangers.

Do you have insurance? Does the guy that hit you have insurance?

no insurance on other sled. once i get it back home ill get the snow out of the tunnel and survey the damage. the other sled is junk the hull and the hood are trashed. knw one got hurt could have been alot worse

how were the condition in the hills might go in a couple weeks. me and a few friends were out about a month ago and we wrecked a lot of stuff totaled one out. seen the website for the hills said they had 8 more inches the other day. any off trail riding yet. or still to dangerous to try it.

trail conditions were awsome up by trailshead area. pretty thin towards lead/deadwood
off trail is still rough but prolly alot better since you guys were out there. pretty much the central hills is good for both trail and off trail but anywhere else it needs help

i want to go one more time to the hills this year at least. should be able to repair my sled this week i want to go either presidents weekend or first weekend in march

i think i am presidents weekend the conditions when we were out there was kinda the same nothing by lead but trailshead and west was pretty good i hope they get hammered soon. :letitsnow

Sorry about yoru sled, gives you a project now unless you don't like working on that stuff. At least no one was hurt, I saw somthing similar to that but at twice the speed and it was ugly.

Were heading to Lead, SD tommorrow, can you get to trailshead from that trail system? Hoping the snow doesn't melt!!

yeah trails are good but you might run into some snrt going to rec springs watch for ice in the corners on trail 5. trail2 and 2c are balls to the walls heading to trailshead

Glad to hear that no one got hurt. The ski doo had to pull you cuz someone broke your sled not becuase your sled broke. It almost sounded like you were embarrased to have the doo pull you. When it comes to getting damage like that I wouldn't care if a dog sled team pulled me home, just as long as I get home.

Cool thanks guys were actually staying at rec Springs resort. Its a 10hr drive for us, so I'm hoping it wont be a bust!

rec springs is anice place you wreck anything and they'll let you work on it there shop. lead deadwood area had light rain this morning. but central hills got this.

Central Hills including the areas around O'Neil Pass south to Mallo Camp and east to Flag Mountain

Snowfall: 2 to 3 inches of new snow this morning.
Temperature: Low: 20's, High: 30's
Trail Condition: The trails in this section of the Hills are in good shape.
