I Have a 98srx700 with a .91" lug camoplast and 144 trail studs down the middle. I blew the track out the back this PM trying out my GPS. I will be going with a Camoplast and am looking for direction. I am stock except tranfer rods geared down a little, gutted air box, and diffrent weights springs and helix. I have set-up my sled to pull hard out of the hole to get to 100 as quick as I can. i am not so worried about runing longer than 1/2 -3/4 of mile. My expirence is if I can beat them bad enough in the first 100 yards they will not catch me on the big end until it is too late.
I ride in northern WI and the UP (groomed trails). I mainly trail ride but lining up against a few buddys on the lake is very important, so a track that hooks better than I have is important. I do not think I can go any biddger than a 1" track. I have heard the preditor track is a good choice. What do you think about the tracks with the studs premolded in the track ? The trails I rode on do get icy but I am trying to reduce rotational weight and possibly get away from a full blow studded track if possible.
