My buddy wants to go for a ride yesterday, get up at 6:00 pick him up in Saginaw, get to the trail at 8:00 bieng towed by 10:00....The shame in bieng towed first ever for me...Man was it cold! Anybody have a front heat exchanger for a 2002 Viper and are you able to use a heat exchanger from any different sled?

I don't know can't see the crack-I don't have the time to rip out the suspension so I am just going to try and hopefully find a used one and have the shop put it in.

Replacing a front exchanger is more than dropping the skid, namely pulling the motor. I just did my own this fall and boy was it fun, not! Good luck, hope you have a good shop lined up or you will never get it back by the weekend.

I would drop the suspension, but all my buddies with more time and knowledge live about 40 miles away. Can it be welded while it is still on the snowmobile, or does it have to removed (heat exchanger) and then welded. Yahadriver, I was just riding a powerline in about 18-24in of powder and heard the thud...looked back and there she was a stump that was buried.

Pull the skid and take the whole sled to a welder and have at it
