Here are some pics from Saturday's ride around Grayling, Alba, Gaylord etc.. We stayed at a small motel just north of Grayling accross from the camp, very nice and reasonable place to stay. We rode east toward Kalkaska and picked up some power lines to the north, had lunch at Larry's in Elmira, then over to the sled shed in Gaylord to get my buddies heated shield repaired (which turned out to be a bad cord) the counter person checked the shield and cord BEFORE selling us a new shield and found that it was the cord. $13 later instead of $80 we were on our way toward hideaway for dinner after a little playing around. Seen an older silver Yamaha that had hit something pretty hard sitting at the gas station with the front "mashed", hope the operator is o.k.!! Many of the main trails were "snirt" or "mud" in spots, but we rode the power lines and seasonal roads 85-90% of the time, which had a lot of powder as you can see by the pics. Had a great ride and put on 190 miles for the day. -Ed

Nice pics! What time were you in the vicinity of the hideaway? I swear I saw you guys on the Blue Bear. I thought the Loop was in great condition...considering the amount of snow. We didn't get down to the Graying area.

We were there just passing by at around 11:30-12:00, stopped on the trail by hideaway so our buddy could change his secondary clutch spring setting (again) . Then we were back to have dinner there at around 6 ish. Left to head back towards Grayling around 7:30 or so. We were checking out the smashed up older Yamaha at the gas station just before that. Too bad for that guy, looked like it was totaled out!! -Ed

I was in that neck of the woods also. Ran from Lakes of the North to Indian River. On the way home nearly got ran off the fricking trail by a ditch pickle that was being chased by two Police sleds.

I stayed at that motel twice two years ago, nice place. Looking at your photos it appears that Baldwin has more snow than Grayling. Rode about 190 miles also, man was it cold on Sunday.

Looks and sounds like you had a good ride. The Polaris kind of took away from the pics, but sometimes you'll have that!

Thats my buddys 2002 XCR 800 triple, he just hates it because the Viper eats his chit up. I let him go and then I run him down and pass him, he has NO chance on the top! He even has it piped, jetted, air box mods and 196 picks. He thinks that because it's an 800 and the Viper is a 700 he should walk all over me. I tell him it's only a number. (LMAO) I love my Viper!! -Ed
